Biography

Khristi Doss Driver currently supports research, development, technology and environmental affairs for Southern Company, an American electric utilities holding company based in southern United StatesKhristi was previously in private practice, focused on civil trials and appeals. She represented insurers and insureds in a wide variety of matters, including products liability, insurance coverage matters, property and casualty claims, fraud, bad faith and punitive damages claims and employment discrimination cases.  She also has extensive expertise in electronic data discovery and regularly advises clients on electronic data retention policies.  She is a frequent speaker and author on electronic data discovery topics.  Ms. Driver is a contributor to and Regional Editor for DRI Trucking Compendium - 2008, published by DRI - The Voice of the Defense Bar.

Ms. Driver was awarded full scholarships to both the University of Alabama and Cumberland School of Law. At law school, she was active in both trial advocacy competitions and the Cumberland Law Review.  Ms. Driver is an active member of the Birmingham Bar Association, serving in a variety of key committee roles and being elected to the Executive Committee for 2009 - 2011.  In the community, she currently serves on the Board of Directors for the ONB Magic City Art Connection and was the 2007 Chair of Lawyers for the Cure, engaging in substantial fundraising efforts for Susan G. Komen For the Cure.  In addition, Ms. Driver is the treasurer and a member of the board of directors of a local nonprofit organization focused on prevention and education regarding eating disorders and serves on the Membership Committee of The Women's Network.  In recognition of her professional achievements and community service, she was named to the Birmingham Business Journal's "Top 40 Under 40" for 2009, as well as receiving the 2006 Distinguished Service Award from the Women Lawyers Section of the Birmingham Bar Association.
