Biography

Michael L. Vittori is a partner in the Chicago office of Quintairos, Prieto, Wood & Boyer, P.A.  He is a senior trial lawyer with over 35 years of litigation experience focusing on defending a wide range of medical specialties and related medical issues. Mr. Vittori is included in Chicago Top Rated Lawyers and has attained an AV ® Preeminent ™ rating by Martindale Hubble Law Directory. The rating is the highest level secured by his peers and the judiciary for ethical standards and legal ability.  Mr. Vittori’s practice focuses on defending all types of health care professionals  He represents health care systems, hospitals, physicians, allied health providers, ambulatory surgery centers, home health agencies, hospices, drug and medical device manufacturers, nursing homes, assisted living facilities and other long term care facilities in both state court and federal court and represents parties before state and federal agencies, including the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. He has significant experience in large settlement negotiation, mediation, and arbitration.

Mr. Vittori also has extensive knowledge of dementia and dementia-related conditions, which has resulted in successful representations of memory care centers and assisted-living facilities. He also has expertise on the issue of attorney’s fees and costs related to nursing home litigation.

Mr. Vittori’s civil litigation practice also includes catastrophic injury cases, with particular experience in matters involving closed head injuries.
