Biography

J. Douglas Wallace acquired his B.A. from the University of North Carlolina in English Literature in 1969. He entered the Naval Flight School in June of 1969, and served 8 years of active duty followed by 7 years in the Naval Reserves as a fighter pilot Commander. He  earned his Master’s Degree in Human Resources from the University of Oklahoma in 1975 and served as an Assistant Professor for three years, teaching leadership, management and organizational behavior. He subsequently earned an MBA from Rollins College in 1985. Mr. Wallace went on to work as a roofing contractor for 15 years before becoming a professional roofing consultant over 27 years ago, Mr. Wallace has personally inspected over 50,000 roofs from Hawaii to Morocco. He has worked as a consultant with Starwood/Vistana Timeshare Properties for 25 years developing, roof asset management programs that allow for efficient budgeting, repair and replacement of roofing systems. More recently, Mr. Wallace has worked with  Marriott Vacation Club , Blue Green and Holiday. Additionally, Mr. Wallace develops replacement specifications for condominium associations and apartment complexes to insure compliance with manufacturer installation guidelines and local building ordinances.
