Biography

Mark C. Goodman focuses his practice on litigation for companies ranging from Fortune 100 corporations to small startups operating in the United States and around the world. He is particularly experienced in complex commercial cases including insurance coverage, product liability and mass tort actions, unfair competition actions, contract disputes and intellectual property. Mr. Goodman has acted as lead counsel in multidistrict litigation involving consumer products. Mr. Goodman’s extensive federal and state court appellate and trial experience includes landmark California advertising injury cases involving trademark, trade name and copyright disputes, as well as other intellectual property, antitrust, privacy and sophisticated business litigation matters. He has completed trademark registration and other transaction work around the world, handling the drafting of licensing agreements, e-contracts, leases and vendor agreements.

Mr. Goodman has published several articles on insurance coverage and complex commercial litigation matters including articles on advertising injury coverage for intellectual property losses. He is listed in the Who’s Who in American Law and has been regularly recognized as a Northern California Super Lawyer and a member of the International Who’s Who of Professionals. Mr. Goodman was included in the 2009 and 2010 editions of The Legal 500 US as a leading lawyer in product liability cases.

Mr. Goodman is a member of the American Bar Association and the Litigation and Intellectual Property Sections of the Bar Association of San Francisco.

Mr. Goodman is a graduate of Loyola Marymount University, J.D., editor in chief, Loyola Entertainment Law Journal, 1991 and received his B.A. from Pomona College in 1987.
