Marilee Clausing has been admitted to practice before the Illinois Bar and the U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois. Ms. Clausing earned her B.S.N., cum laude, from Marquette University in 1978, after which she worked as a Registered Nurse in the area of high-risk obstetrics. She has been a practicing attorney since 1985 after receiving her J.D., with Honors, from DePaul University, where she served as the Editor-in-Chief of the DePaul Law Review. Ms. Clausing concentrates her practice of law in the areas of Medical Litigation, Birth Trauma Defense, Nursing Malpractice, and representation of health care providers before the Department of Professional Regulation. She is an experienced trial attorney and has tried numerous cases involving catastrophic injury to verdict, including those involving birth trauma, neonatal injury, death and neurological injury. Her extensive trial experience, combined with her obstetrical nursing background, led her to develop the Birth Trauma Defense Team at Anderson, Rasor and Partners, LLP. Ms. Clausing is a nationally renowned speaker on medical legal matters involving hospitals, physicians, nurses and physician assistants.
