Gretchen Langston

Biography

Gretchen R. Langston is the director of risk management for Xanterra Parks & Resorts. She is responsible for corporate-wide procurement and design of commercial insurance programs.

Additionally, Langston manages corporate safety related to federal, state and local regulatory compliance. She directs programs to ensure the proper and efficient handling of claims through managing third-party adjusting groups and gathering data for record keeping, loss forecasting and mitigation purposes. Langston also leads efforts related to crisis management and business continuity planning to prepare the organization for existing and emerging risk exposures.

Prior to joining Xanterra Parks & Resorts, Langston held director of risk management positions for companies such as Media News Group and The Home Shopping Network.

Langston holds a business degree from Northeast Missouri State University, and is a certified associate in risk management with 16 years of experience in the risk management and safety industry. Langston is also involved in the community as a Certified American Red Cross Instructor.
