Biography

Neil J. Kohlman is presently a trial attorney with the firm of Anderson, Stephens & Grace in Metairie, Louisiana, specializing in Louisiana state and Longshore workers’ compensation cases for Zurich Insurance Company.  Mr. Kohlman was born and raised in New Orleans, and received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 1987, and a Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center in 1990.  Mr. Kohlman served as clerk to Chief Justice Pascal Calogero of the Louisiana Supreme Court.  He has practiced law in Louisiana for over 20 years, handling general liability and workers’ compensation cases for plaintiffs and defendants.

Mr. Kohlman also worked for the City of New Orleans as a legal advisor and the director of corporations and boards specializing in major economic development and hotel projects in downtown New Orleans.  He served for several years as an adjunct professor at the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University, teaching undergraduate courses in business law.  Mr. Kohlman currently lives in New Orleans with his wife and two children.
