Biography
JEFFREY M. KOONANKEIL is a Senior Claims Specialist for Capital Specialty Insurance Company (“CapSpecialty”), which is a subsidiary of Allegheny Corporation. Mr. Koonankeil graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2003. Mr. Koonankeil joined CapSpecialty in May 2016 to lead the Management Lines claims team. Prior to joining CapSpecialty, Mr. Koonankeil worked for a Lloyd’s of London Syndicate handling EPL claims. Prior to that, he worked for a large domestic insurer handling Management Lines, Miscellaneous E&O and Fiduciary claims. Before coming in house, Mr. Koonankeil practiced insurance coverage law for a Washington, DC based law firm. Mr. Koonankeil is a regular speaker at EPL conferences.
