Biography

Kevin T. O’Hara was born and raised in Winter Park, Florida.  He graduated from Stetson University with a major in Political Science/Prelaw in 1983.  Thereafter he completed his legal education at Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 1986.  He was a member of the Cumberland Trial Advocacy Board and also a writing member of the American Journal of Trial Advocacy.  He was awarded the American Jurisprudence “Book” award for Military Justice (top in the class).  He returned to the Orlando area and has continuously practiced here for the last 30 years, primarily in the defense of medical malpractice claims and general liability claims.  He is licensed to practice before all State Courts in Florida, as well as the Federal Court for the Middle District of Florida.  He is also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court.

Kevin is a member of the DRI, Florida Defense Lawyers Association, as well as the Orange and Seminole County Bar Associations.

He has been an AV Rated (highest rating) attorney by Martindale Hubbell for over 10 years.  He has tried cases in all counties within the Central Florida area, as well as many North Florida counties.  Kevin has tried complex cases involving the defense of healthcare providers and healthcare facilities in most Central Florida venues.

Kevin has been married to his wife, Shellie for over 30 years.  They have one son, Patrick.  He is also active in his church and has been a Sunday School teacher in the Youth Program for many years.
