Stephanie Panico

Biography

Stephanie Panico is General Counsel, Reinsurance for QBE Insurance.  Stephanie is responsible for day-to-day legal support for QBE Group’s Ceded Reinsurance operations and its two captive reinsurance companies.  Stephanie previously held the position of Vice President, Associate General Counsel – Global Reinsurance Operations at QBE Insurance.  Prior to that, Stephanie was Vice President, Associate General Counsel in the Business Unit Support group at QBE North America. She was the lead attorney for QBE’s Alternative Markets programs business unit, which is comprised of over forty property, casualty and specialty programs, and for QBE’s Global Risk Solutions in North America, which provides loss control and risk management services to QBE policyholders.  Stephanie is the co-chair of QBE North America’s Women’s Initiative Network, a role she has held since January 2020. 
 
Stephanie has worked in the insurance industry for over ten years and has extensive regulatory, policy drafting and insurance coverage experience. Prior to joining QBE, Stephanie was Counsel at AIG where she supported several of AIG’s Excess Casualty business units.  Prior to joining AIG, she was an insurance coverage and defense litigator at Riker, Danzig, Scherer, Hyland & Perretti LLP in Morristown, New Jersey, where she was recognized by Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in New Jersey.
