Biography
Mr. Gagliardo has over 40 years’ experience in providing counseling and representation to private and public employers in labor and employment matters, including complex litigation. He also actively practices in the area of alternative dispute resolution, and serves as an arbitrator in employment and commercial disputes. Mr. Gagliardo is currently a Judge on the Illinois Court of Claims, and Counsel with Laner Muchin, Ltd. He served as the Managing Partner of Laner Muchin from 2007-2017, and as the Chair of the Firm’s Litigation Department from 1988-2017. Mr. Gagliardo previously served as First Deputy Corporation Counsel for the City of Chicago.
Mr. Gagliardo is active in CLM and many professional organizations, and is a past President of the Chicago Chapter of the Federal Bar Association. He also served as Chairperson of the Illinois State Bar Association’s Labor Law Section Council. Mr. Gagliardo is an elected Fellow/Member of The College of Labor and Employment Lawyers.
