Lauren Sheets Jarrell

Biography

Lauren Sheets Jarrell is ATRA’s Vice President & Counsel, Civil Justice Policy.  She received her bachelor of arts degree from Georgetown University and her law degree, cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center.  Among her responsibilities, she manages the Judicial Hellholes program and is lead author of the annual report.  She oversees the Association's policy work and manages the Association’s amicus program. 

While in law school, she served as a legal intern for Judge Joseph Beshouri of the Washington D.C. Superior Court and Judge Shirley Watts of the Baltimore City Circuit Court.  She joined ATRA in 2010 as the Legislative Coordinator and assumed her current position in November 2023.  She is a member of the New York Bar.
