Biography

Paul R. Koepff is a senior equity partner at Clyde & Co.  He has handled insurance coverage and reinsurance disputes for over 30 years and has been counsel of record in some of the most significant and far-reaching insurance coverage and reinsurance disputes.He has served as lead counsel in numerous appellate decisions, including ones rejecting joint and several liability and adopting allocation; adopting a broad and fair reading of pollution exclusions; the proper interpretation of various kinds of liability policies (general liability, professional liability etc), and other significant coverage issues.Paul is a contributing author to the multi-volume Matthew Bender treatise on New York Insurance Law, the multi-volume treatise Appleman’s Insurance Law, the multi-volume treatise "Law and Practice of Insurance Coverage Litigation" and recently published book entitled "Inside the Minds: The Insurance Business."He is recognized by major publications, including Chambers USA and Legal 500 USA, as one of the nation's leading insurance lawyers. Commentators in the latest edition of Chambers USA applaud his "superior industry knowledge" and his skill in litigation and arbitration.
