A CPA, CFE, and MBA, Jim is celebrating twenty years as President of InTune Business Advisors LLC, a Pittsburgh-based litigation support firm he founded in 2004. Jim has more than thirty years of forensic accounting, litigation support, auditing, and receivership experience. His economic damages engagements have involved cyberattacks, storm damage, personal injury, employment, fraud, and other claims. Jim's experience also includes business valuations (including in the context of lost business value), and he has testified as an expert witness in a variety of legal matters on behalf of both defendants and plaintiffs.
Key differentiators include Jim’s data mining expertise and analysis, his clear and concise communications, and his sound professional judgement that only comes with decades of experience. Prior to founding InTune, Jim held leadership roles with Ernst & Young LLP (EY), Campbell Soup Company and MBNA America (Bank of America). As a CPA, Jim has developed and implemented scalable data mining and analysis protocols, financial reporting structures and data visualization solutions that engage diverse groups of stakeholders. As a CFE, Jim has worked with financial institutions and the FBI on fraud investigations and has significant experience in governance, risk management and compliance. He is a frequent writer and speaker on fraud and forensic accounting topics. A graduate of John Carroll University with a double major in Accounting and Finance, Jim received a full-tuition scholarship from the University of Pittsburgh, where he earned his MBA. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, and the Claims and Litigation Management Alliance. He enjoys golf, tennis, platform tennis and playing music.
