Julie Freitag is Vice President and Manager of Life Sciences and Casualty Claims for Navigators Insurance Company.  In that role, she manages a team handling claims for various lines of business including Life Sciences, Excess Casualty, Primary Casualty and Media, Arts & Entertainment.  Julie has over 21 years experience handling and defending large exposure claims in professional liability, product liability, general liability and medical negligence, both at the primary and excess layers of coverage.  Prior to Navigators, Julie worked at Zurich North America, where she primarily managed excess liability claims for nearly nine years.  Prior to that, she practiced law at Chicago area insurance defense firms, primarily defending medical malpractice claims. 

Julie is a licensed attorney in the State of Illinois.  She obtained her Juris Doctorate and Health Law Certificate from the DePaul University College of Law and her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
