Biography

Terry acted as Director of Risk Management for Jack Cooper Transport, the largest Auto-Hauler in the United States/North America.He oversees all aspects of purchasing, managing and financing Risk Management, Insurance and Bonds for Jack Cooper Transport.
While at The Robert E. Millergroup, Terence led a team of 30 Certified WorkComp Advisors who assisted clients in financing, managing and preventing claims. He also leads the claims and safety/loss control department.
With nearly 25 years of insurance experience – Terry has a heavy concentration of that in Non-Profits and Construction, Work Comp and Safety. He has a strong level of expertise in helping insurance buyers with all their needs, from loss prevention to post-injury claims management. Being raised on a Kansas farm to have a strong work ethic and the experiences over the past twenty-five years help Milford empathize with every client, no matter what the industry, business or trade.
Prior to working at the Millergroup, Terry served as claims manager for Farmland Industries, and was a Vice President for Lockton Companies.  He presented at four past Annual National IRMI Conferences in New Orleans, San Diego, Chicago, and Orlando.
Terry holds the “Associate in Risk Management” (ARM) designation and various other designations in the Insurance field, including the CWCA(Certified Work Comp Advisor); ChWCE(Chartered Work Comp Executive); CBWA(Certified Benefits and Wellness Advisor), and SAC(Safety Auditor Certified).  He is also a certified facilitator for “The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People” and “First Things First” Time Management, from Dr. Stephen Covey and the Franklin Covey organization. Terry has also used his designation of Eagle Scout to help Scouting organizations and other groups of all sizes with Leadership and Management Training and Development.
Milford earned a B.S.B.A. from Kansas State University in Marketing and Management, and lives in Overland Park with his wife and three very active children.
