Biography

Tom combines his passion of industry and the courtroom to resolve the challenges that confront clients every day.  Tom represents manufacturers, suppliers, automobile, truck and heavy equipment dealers, businesses and insurance companies, in both state and federal courts, from resolving business disputes to defending multidistrict and class action litigation. With a particular niche in defending product liability claims in the automobile and heavy equipment arenas, clients have come to rely on Tom's experience and judgment to guide them through product liability matters, including those involving heavy equipment such as track hoes, excavators, wood chippers and manufacturing equipment.
Tom also represents clients in the transportation industry and defends automobile and truck dealerships, trucking companies and heavy equipment companies in disputes from breach of contract matters, including non-compete and confidentiality agreements and copyrightissues, to injury claims involving wrongful death and catastrophic injuries to employment claims. He also represents insurance companies and insureds in construction defect cases, including product liability issues in construction materials and designs, and coverage issues including badfaith claims.
With years of dispute resolution and courtroom know-how, in addition to assisting clients in matters involving product liability, construction and construction defect and insurance issues, Tom has represented clients before state and federal agencies and in state and federal court onprofessional liability, environmental, oil and gas issues, and employment and accommodation matters involving ADA, ADEA, FMLA, gender, race, and religion discrimination, as well as public policy wrongful discharge and workers' compensation retaliation discharge claims.  With success, Tom has tried and settled claims, suits and judgments involving several millions of dollars for insurers and their insureds. Utilizing his significant industry knowledge, insurers are confident in Tom's ability to handle complex liability and coverage disputes.
