Biography

Mariah Panza Garcia serves as General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer of The Conco Companies (Conco). Conco is an industry leader and has been delivering premium concrete services throughout the Western United States since 1959. Mariah joined Conco in 2006 as its first in-house attorney and created Conco's legal department. As the department leader, Mariah oversees and offers expertise on company transactions, negotiates public and private contracts, partners with outside counsel in the supervision of litigation and collaborates with the Conco executive-team in risk management, strategic planning, HR compliance and real-estate management. In addition, Mariah takes an active role in managing Conco's diverse commercial real estate portfolio. In that capacity, Mariah is charged with managing land acquisitions and sales, partnering with industry professionals in real estate transactions, negotiating complex industrial leases in various states and participating in the management and construction of new assets. Prior to joining Conco, Mariah practiced corporate law, commercial real estate, and affordable housing law with two large law firms as well as a boutique real estate firm. Mariah holds a B.A in Law and Society from The University of California, Santa Barbara and a J.D. from UC Law San Francisco (formerly Hastings College of the Law), graduating with honors from both institutions. She is a member of the Contra Costa County Bar Association (Corporate, Women's and Real Estate sections) and the Women’s General Counsel Network, and she serves as a mentor to law firm associates through the Ms. JD LaddHer Up collaborative. In her spare time, Mariah enjoys family-time, hiking and yoga. Mariah is also a 200-hour certified yoga instructor.
