Wilson Townsend

Biography

Wilson Townsend is a Vice President of Claims of The RiverStone Group LLC, a provider of run-off claims management services for Fairfax Financial LLC. Based in Manchester, NH, Mr. Townsend manages teams adjusting Asbestos Pollution and Health Hazard (APH), Construction Defect (CD), General Liability, Worker’s Compensation, Errors & Omissions (E&O), and Directors and Officers E & O claims, and other commercial lines claims. He has past experience with Commercial Auto, Garagekeepers, and Personal Lines claims. During his almost 16 years with RiverStone, Mr. Townsend has served as Technical Manager of the Construction Defect Unit overseeing and managing the disposition of over 15,000 CD claims, as Assistant Vice President in the Litigation Unit handling complex coverage litigation, and his present position as Vice President of Claims with responsibility for various claims operations. Mr. Townsend served as the business lead on a three year business transformation project which successfully implemented new software applications and business processes. Mr. Townsend has over 28 years of insurance claims and dispute resolution experience at several insurance companies in the Northeast and Midwest. A 1987 graduate of University of Massachusetts at Amherst Mr. Townsend earned a B.A. in Political Science and a Senior Claims Law Designation (SCLA) from the American Educational Institute.
