Mark is Director, Risk Management at Taylor Morrison, Inc., (fka Taylor Woodrow, Inc.) a homebuilding and land development company with North American headquarters in Scottsdale, AZ, a position he assumed in August 2003. He is also President of Beneva Indemnity Company, Taylor Morrison’s wholly-owned captive and President of Taylor Woodrow Insurance Services, Inc. the firm’s in-house insurance agency. Prior to his current position, Mark was Vice President with Hobbs Group, a risk management consulting and insurance brokerage firm in their Tampa, Florida office. Prior to Hobbs, he was a Senior Vice President, Risk Management Practice for Aon Risk Services Inc. of Florida in Tampa. Prior to joining Aon, Mark spent seventeen years in senior corporate risk management positions, most recently as Vice President, Risk Management for Celotex Corporation, a Tampa, Florida-based manufacturer of building materials. His other positions included Vice President, Risk Management for Jim Walter Corporation and Director of Risk Management at Eckerd Drugs.
An active member of the Risk and Insurance Management Society, Inc. (RIMS), Mark served as national President of RIMS in 1998/1999. Mark has also held such positions as local chapter president and society director and nationally as Vice President of Health and Safety, Vice President of Membership and Chapter Services and Secretary, Vice President-International, Vice President-Long Range Planning, and First Vice President of RIMS Executive Council. DeLillo was awarded RIMS highest individual honor, The Harry and Dorothy Goodell Award in 2014.
Mark has been actively involved in community affairs for quite some time previously serving in leadership roles on the Board and Executive Committees of Gulf Ridge Council Boy Scouts of America, The Westshore Alliance, Tampa Bay Harvest and Committee of ’99. Additionally, he has served on numerous industry advisories such as AIG Advisory Board and the National Account Advisory for Gates McDonald.
Mark was selected as “2006 Team Member of the Year” for Taylor Woodrow, Inc.
Mark earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Geneva College in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. He received the Casualty Claim Law Associate (CCLA) designation from the American Educational Institute and the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) from the Insurance Institute of America. He is recognized as a “CRM National Faculty” member of The National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research’s Certified Risk Manager (CRM) program. Mark maintains a Casualty & Property Producer License in Arizona as well as Non-Resident agent licenses in Florida, California, Colorado and Texas. Mark resides in Scottsdale, AZ with his wife, Deeda.
