Two one hour sessions provided by industry leaders who will provide critical insight into the emerging issues associated with the use of social media in the investigation, resolution and trial of both litigated and non-litigated claims. This session on social media will dive deep into the ethical concerns, limitations, professional opinions of the various bar associations and reported case law in an effort to define the ethical lines of conduct for claim professionals, general counsel and lawyers. The second session focused on the emerging issues associated with the legalization of marijuana. Truly a cutting edge topic, it will dovetail into the ethical issues associated with the legalization on a local or State level of something that is considered a crime on the federal level and the resulting restrictions and concerns it presents for financial institutions, accountants, lawyers and others in the professional services industry in providing advice and counsel. Moreover, emerging risks associated with the marketing, sale, ingestion and misuse of marijuana and where the risks lie will be addressed by the panel of national experts
