What is the attire for the conference?
The attire is casual (jeans are encouraged) – You may want to have a sweater on hand as some rooms can be cool.
CE/CLE
How are CE/CLE credits issued?
CLM will report your CE/CLE credits (where applicable). Please make sure all your licenses are entered in your CLM profile. If you have further questions regarding CE/CLE, please contact Education Compliance Specialist - James.Hurdle@theclm.org
EVENT CHANGES / CANCELLATIONS
If I am unable to attend Claims College, will a refund be issued?
All Claims College registration changes, cancellations or substitutions must be received in writing via e-mail to Catrina.Jones@theclm.org Please include the reason for your change, cancellation or substitution. NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED AFTER August 1, 2019; however, substitutions are permitted until August 31, 2019.
Are all students required to attend Insurance Industry Primer?
All level 1 students and successful test-out students are required to attend this mandatory primer. This is optional for all other students.
HOTEL
Is hotel cost included in the registration fee?
The cost of the hotel is NOT included in your registration fee. If you made a hotel reservation through the CLM, a credit card will need to be presented upon check-in.
How do I cancel/change my hotel reservation?
To change or cancel your hotel reservation, please email Mechelle.Telford@theclm.org Cancellations must be completed at least 72 hours in advance of your arrival date. If you neglect to notify us, your credit card will be charged for one room night.
Will Wi-Fi be available at the conference hotel?
Yes, complimentary Wi-Fi will be available in the conference center.
Are there parking fees?
Yes:
- Marriott Baltimore Waterfront: $26 Self-Parking at PMI Lot (Behind Flemings) Valet Parking $45 per day.
- Marriott Courtyard Baltimore Downtown: Self-parking $23 per day in nearby garage located between Harbor East & Asian Grill. No Valet.
Where do I check in upon arrival to the conference?
Upon arrival, you must register at the CLM Registration Desk 3rd Floor, Grand Registration counter. There, you will receive your nametag, itinerary and other pertinent information.
Will CLM hold luggage during the final exam?
CLM will have a luggage holding area (Grand 1 on 3rd floor) Saturday morning prior to breakfast until testing ends at noon.
MATERIALS
Can I view the conference attendance list?
Yes, the attendees are listed on the event site: 2019 Claims College - Attendees
Will college materials be available online?
Yes, please go to 2019 Claims College – See left column for your school. Each school’s faculty, objectives, agendas and reading materials are listed.
How will I receive my test results?
CLM will notify you approximately one-week post college via email of your test results with all pertinent details.
TRANSPORTATION
Is transportation provided from the local airport to the conference hotel?
CLM does not provide transportation to the conference hotel.
Is transportation provided to airport at the conclusion of conference?
CLM will provide shuttles to airport and train station at the conclusion of conference beginning at noon (continuous loop until 3pm). Shuttles will pick up on Southeast entrance of hotel along Columbus Way.
