2026 Claims College
School of Excess Lines
Designed for professionals handling complex, high-exposure claims, the School of Excess Lines sharpens the skills needed to navigate today’s most challenging litigation environments. Students will learn to spot early red flags that signal excess exposure, apply modern defense strategies, and leverage tools that strengthen case outcomes. This one-year program emphasizes coordinated decision-making across the coverage tower, helping attendees align interests among insureds, primary carriers, and excess carriers while managing competing priorities. Practical guidance on resolution strategies, including settlement planning, mediation, and advanced risk management techniques, equips students to drive cases toward effective, well-supported outcomes.
Upon successful completion of this program, you will earn a Certificate of Completion.
Students who already hold their Certified Claims Professional (CCP) designation and successfully complete two of the three following schools: Extra-Contractual, Mediation, or Litigation Management, will earn the Advanced Claims Professional (ACP) designation.
