The Staff Counsel Summit is a great opportunity for staff counsel to earn CLE credits and network with one another. The program was created by the CLM’s Executive Advisory Board for Staff Counsel and includes sessions on a wide range of topics, including:
• Office Management
• Planning for the Future
• Showing Value with Data
• Client Relations
• Handling Specialty Cases
• Relevant Ethics Issues including a “UPL Challenge” Update
• Use of Social Media in Litigation
The Summit will be a great opportunity for staff counsel to learn about the latest programs, initiatives and best practices in staff counsel operations. The CLM is committed to being a great resource for the professional development of all staff counsel attorneys. Our Advisory Board, which includes representatives from Allstate, CNA, Nationwide, Selective, and MAPFRE, is working to create additional programming and resources to meet the unique needs of staff counsel.

In the event of a hardship or other financial situation which would prevent a person from attending, the CLM provides scholarships that waive the registration fee. We are flexible and only require the attendee to advise us they have a hardship and we will provide a complimentary registration. We do not ask for financials or any other documentation (must only be stated the attendee has a financial hardship). The policy applies to all attendees.
