“Always be prepared!” Shane’s motto when it comes to handling claims. She recounted a story of when her partner defense counsel was in a fender bender on the way to trial. Shane noted two emerging industry trends to watch: the use of AI in the claims space to get ahead of potential trends and issues, and risk engineering in the climate change space to mitigate weather-related losses. “Stan Greenspan (Crum & Forster) nudged me to attend Claims College and I am glad I did. CLM [also] gave me a scholarship to attend [Litigation Management Institute], which resulted in my CLMP.”
Shane, a Claims College instructor, stresses the benefits of earning industry designations.
From Law to Insurance

It has been over 25 years and it has been a great experience. CLM has always been a great supporter of my career.”
“I love spending time with family and friends. I enjoy cooking, crafting, container gardening, and DYI. I am lucky to live at the beach, so I get to enjoy all things beachy!"
