Claims Legal Counsel, Grange Insurance Company

Meta says insurance coverage can be a lot like a puzzle: frustrating if you do not know how the pieces fit together, but really interesting once you understand how it works. As a skilled insurance coverage attorney who has enjoyed much success already, Meta has proven to be quite good at knowing which pieces fit where when it comes to both insurance coverage and her career.

Realizing upon graduating from law school that she wanted to work as in-house counsel for an insurance company, but recognizing how long that often takes for many professionals, Meta committed herself very early on to learning as much as she could about insurance coverage. She became known for her precise coverage determination letters dealing with novel coverage issues, and she was invited to serve as co-author of the Fifth Edition of “General Liability Insurance Coverage: Key Issues in Every State,” an achievement she considers among her most significant. As a result of her hard work and impressive accumulation of insurance coverage knowledge, Meta moved from private practice to in-house at Grange Insurance in June 2022 at the age of 31.

Meta currently coaches other associates on coverage determination letter writing. Her writing has been featured in JD Supra. She is a dedicated volunteer and also provides pro bono representation to those in need, receiving the 2018 Pro Bono Publico Award by the First Judicial District of Pennsylvania. Look for her at CLM’s 2023 Annual Conference in Tampa as she prepares for her first speaking engagement, and expect much more in the future from this phenomenal professional.
