Casey Flynn

Casey Flynn minored in mathematics, and her interest in that area led her to a career in risk management and insurance. She began as a workers’ compensation adjuster for a TPA before joining Clune Construction Company, where she has been promoted to senior insurance specialist and intends to continue growing in risk management. 

The turning point in her career was entering and learning about the construction space, from the vernacular to the complex projects Clune builds. “It’s aviation, hospitality, high-end tenant interiors, huge data centers—so, really learning what that means as far as infrastructure is concerned and then how I can better support the organization by understanding the insurance, surety, and the mechanisms to protect our risk.”

Casey’s career highlights go beyond her work at Clune to include her participation in CLM. She has co-authored articles for CLM Magazine and spoken on a conference panel. “Most recently, I’m a construction co-chair on the Incident Response Task Force, which I’m really excited about,” she says. 

With a passion for learning that has continued throughout her career, Casey is also continuing her education with the support of Clune. 

Casey also says giving back to her community is important: “I feel very strongly about education, and I hope to give back by educating others in what I’ve learned to help grow my team and work community.”
