Beginnings and Transitions

In claims, resolutions don’t come around once a year. Successfully resolving a claim, dispute, or threat is a daily part of the job for claims, risk, and litigation professionals. We’re here to help.

“Resolution” is a word tossed around this time of year with equal vigor and vitriol. Some commit to workouts at 5am, while others sarcastically vow to not make comments about, well, unrealistic resolutions.

Of course in claims, resolutions don’t come around once a year. Successfully resolving a claim, dispute, or threat is a daily part of the job for claims, risk, and litigation professionals.

We’re here to help with our own resolution: to provide educational and practical strategies for successful claims resolution, a goal that began months ago but officially starts today.

With that said, like the two-faced Roman god Janus for whom this month is named, this inaugural issue represents beginnings and transitions. We look to the past and welcome our Claims Advisor readers, who will find a newly designed monthly publication supported by the prowess of former editor Bevrlee Lips, who now serves as managing editor. All of the magazine’s past material remains available online.

We also look forward and say hello to our CLM members and fellows. You, too, are gaining a resource that complements the quarterly publication Litigation Management. As you will see in several editorial elements within, your involvement adds to the value of the magazine, just as it does when you participate in CLM training events and programs. Be prepared to hear from us, because this magazine is ultimately yours.

Thank you for reading, and Happy New Year.
