EDITOR'S NOTE: This webinar was rescheduled from its original date of Jan. 18 and will now take place on Jan. 25 at noon ET. Registration information is below.

An upcoming CLM webinar will dive into the results and implications of the American Tort Reform Foundation’s most recent Judicial Hellholes® report, which was released in December 2022.

The annual report spotlights jurisdictions that have earned reputations as Judicial Hellholes. Some of the reasons for earning the distinction this year include jurisdictions that allow innovative lawsuits to proceed or that welcome litigation tourism, and those that expand civil liability at every given opportunity.

In addition to the Hellhole distinctions, the 86-page report includes a “Watch List” for jurisdictions that are either moving closer to or away from becoming Hellholes, as well as a section entitled, “Points of Light,” which includes examples of jurisdictions that exhibit fair and balanced judicial decisions. (Click here to read an executive summary of the report.)

CLM’s CEO Ronna Ruppelt will moderate the hour-long Q&A with Lauren Sheets Jarrell, who serves as director and counsel, civil justice policy, at the American Tort Reform Association.

Anyone working in claims, litigation management, risk management, underwriting, actuarial, as a broker/agent, and outside defense counsel will find the discussion valuable. Click here to register for the free event, which was rescheduled and will now take place on January 25, 2023, at noon ET.
